“The glow it gives me in the morning is unmatched” – Merit’s Great Skin Trio review

As someone with super sensitive skin (it’s tough out here, IYKYK), I’m always a bit cautious when trying anything new – but I can honestly say Merit’s Great Skin Trio has been amazing for me. I have to admit that I definitely got a little overexcited when I first received it. Instead of easing in, I went straight into using the double cleanse, serum and moisturiser. My skin was… a bit confused, to say the least. But after a couple of days adjusting, everything has settled beautifully, and I’m genuinely loving each product.

The Great Skin Double Cleanse has been a game-changer for me. Gone are the days of juggling an oil cleanser followed by a water-based one – this does it all in one step. I don’t usually cleanse in the morning, but in the evening I apply it directly to dry skin (no water at first) and use it to break down my makeup before adding a splash of water to finish the cleanse.

I don’t know what’s in the Great Skin Serum, but I can only assume it involves some form of witchcraft, because the glow it gives me in the morning is unmatched. On no-makeup days. I literally just wear that and some moisturiser and I look like I’ve just got back from holiday!

The moisturiser was the product I was most nervous about, as my skin can be particularly fussy when it comes to hydration. At first, I wasn’t sure it was going to work for me – but once my skin adjusted, everything clicked into place. It now makes the perfect base under makeup, without any pilling, and a little really does go a long way in terms of hydration.
